Year 9 Science
In Year 9, students have been studying Biology in term 3. Students are learning about the nervous system and the brain structure. Students dissected a sheep brain in week 4 to learn about the different parts of the brain and their functions.
Year 10 Science
In term 3, Year 10 students are studying the Biological strand as part of their Science coursework. Students are learning about DNA molecular structure and function. Students extracted DNA from frozen peas. Students then isolated the DNA strands from the green pea mixture (see below) and viewed the DNA double helix using a light microscope.
